Gods and Gold

Two thousand years ago the province of Asia was the scene of bitter conflict between a new religion and the Roman state. As the Roman governor prepared for his annual circuit in which all capital cases would be heard, a prophet exiled on Patmos received messages for the seven assize cities. The principles set out in these messages are still relevant to us today, but an understanding of the history and backgrounds of their recipients aids in understanding them.

Narrated on location in Turkey, this video takes you to each of the seven cities mentioned in the book of Revelation, retelling their history and describing their present remains.
